I qualified at Kings College Hospital Medical School in 1977 and trained in London, Brighton, Leicester, Norwich and the United States of America before taking up my present post as a Consultant in Chelmsford in 1992. I am currently Director of Surgery at the Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and hold a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London. Professional affiliations include the Association of Endoscopic Surgeons and the Association of Upper GI Surgeons.

I have extensive experience in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery having performed over 2500 procedures in the last 14 years. In addition I have a wide experience in the treatment of cancers of the upper gastrointestinal system (gullet and stomach) as well as providing a comprehensive general surgical service.

My private practice is based in Chelmsford, Essex at Springfield Hospital and also at the Chelmsford Medical Centre. Chelmsford is only 35 minutes by train from London Liverpool Street station. There are excellent road links with Springfield hospital situated just off the A12 London Road. Stansted airport is only 20 minutes away by car.
